Institute of IT Training

PROFILE

As an independent computer consultant in Ireland, I specialise in providing companies with IT solutions for their business problems.

I am a Certified Internet Webmaster Professional (CIW). I am also a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP). I am a member of the Irish Internet Association (IIA) .

I ran my own Approved Training Centre (ATC) for Microsoft Office User Specialist Program (MOUS).

Business
Before specialising in computer consultancy I was an accountant (FCCA) specialising in taxation (and and was a member of both the Irish Institute of Taxation (AITI) and the UK Institute of Taxation (ATII). I worked for one of the Big 5 firms both in the UK and in Ireland.

Training
On the training side, I successfully completed my teacher training course with National University of Ireland in Maynooth. FAS, who are a Government body set up to deal with training needs and provide grants to certain industry sectors, recognise me as a computer trainer.

Solutions
Throughout my career I have always been involved in Information Technology (IT) with a particular focus on how computers can make people's jobs easier, more interesting and hopefully more enjoyable. I have acted as a bridge between business people and IT people.

In the last few years businesses have witnessed a rapid increase in the use of IT to provide solutions to their problems. Such developments have include the growth of Windows operating system, the emergence of cheaper and more powerful personal computers and the phenomenal expansion of the Internet. For may businesses the changes have happened so quickly that they may feel it difficult to keep abreast of IT developments that could benefit their organisation.

I offer a jargon free guide through the IT maze, practical computer solutions and independent advice to help solve your business problems.

Please visit my Services page to get a flavour of what I can offer to your business.

I was also an Executive member of Bray & District Chamber of Commerce.
